Hello!  Welcome to the first post here on Modcat.  This one will be addressing *drumroll please*

MY MOUNTAINS OF DEBT!!!

Yes you heard that right, folks.  I have royally screwed myself financially.  I want to be transparent with whoever might be reading this, so here’s a breakdown of just how in debt I am as of this 24^th day of June 2021.

Now these numbers will be slightly rounded, but not by more than $100

Credit Card Debt: $10,100

Car Note: $22,800

Student Loans: $13,200

Now, that is a total of…. FOURTY SIX THOUSAND AND ONE HUNDRED ($46,100) United States dollars.

That is nearly a years worth of my salary.

MY goal is….get this down to $40,000 before the end of the year by doing the following.

1.  Adopting a cash envelope system.  I like the idea of this, and have a weird proclivity for sorting and organizing that might make this serve as a calming exercise as well.  I hope.
   
   
2. Building some sort of lucrative secondary source of income…I am not sure how I will be doing that just yet…stay tuned.
   
   
3. B U D G E T I N G.  I do not want to live a horribly boring life where I don’t get to have any fun with my kids or do enjoyable things for myself, but I am definitely living on the hedonistic side of life and omg I need to stop.
